The
UDT-V14
by Youde is a reliable, sturdy mechanical mod with a great retro look to it! It is made of brass with a brushed bronze finish and features stainless steel accents - it is machined extremely well. The top cap has three grooved channels for airflow, and the body of the mod features two vent holes. The UDT-V14 has a
recessed 510 connector
and
silver-plated copper contacts
to reduce voltage loss.
It also features an
adjustable floating center pin
, which makes certain that any device you use with it will fit flush and look great! The UDT-V14 works with both button and flat top
18350
and
18650
protected and IMR batteries. It also works great with an
18500
battery when used with the
KICK
.
The recessed mechanical fire button is located at the bottom of the unit and is quite comfortable to use. The recessed design ensures that you can comfortably set the mod down without worrying about accidentally firing it. In addition, the firing button is
lockable
- simply grip the locking ring and turn counter-clockwise to lock, or clockwise to unlock.
In addition to its great looks and quality workmanship, the UDT-V14 stands out from other mechanical mods in that each unit comes with a user manual and spare parts for the mechanical fire button.

Q:
So, do you have to remove the batteries to recharge them? I am currently using an ego style pass-through battery but have been curious about switching to a mod w/510 connection & not sure as to which style would be best starting out with if I were to do so.

Hi RAH,
The UDT-V14 does require that you remove the batteries to charge them. If you're looking for a device that will give you the pass-through feature with the additional features of a regulated mod, the Eleaf iStick 20W and the Eleaf iStick 30W offer great battery life and performance in a small package.
